Abandoned “Maggiordomo” Villa, Italy

The Villa “Maggiordomo” (Butler), now belonging to Count Revelli de Beaumont, lies near Grugliasco, 18 kilometres from Turin, in a flat, green country, with the Alps rising in the distance. It was built in 1630 for Francesco Napione, Marshal of the Cuiras-siers in the service of the Prince of Carignano, and it was named after his son Valeriano, then Majordomo and Esquire to his R.M. Emanuele Filiberto, Prince of Carignano.
