Deepmix (Deep Mix Moscow Radio) is a noncommercial online radio station which broadcasts minimal techno. The concept is to broadcast a selection of mixes, some made by residents, some uploaded by other Dj’s. Uploaded Mixes are either home brewed or live recordings of known artists.

The show airs from ‘somewhere’ in Moscow. First it was an apartment called “Obo & Hobos studio” (2005-2006), then it moved to the “Cartoon studio” (until 2008) and then (2008-present) to the “Cotton studio”. Resident Dj’s are bVoice, Pushkarev, Grabke, Izhevski, Gorje Hewek and Meshkov, who have already gained national attention and have an underground status worldwide.

Russia’s minimal-scene is small compared to other music styles, so the appearance of deepmix residents at Kazantip can be seen as a big success.
Also internationally known Artist such as Lawrence, Falko Brocksieper, Mathias Schaffhauser, Superpitcher, Tobias Thomas, Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos are presented on Deepmix. On a trip to Moscow Villalobos visited the Deepmix, played live mix on air and admired the enthusiasm of Deepmix.

Deepmix broadcasts in mp3 format with 3 streams: 24kbs, 56kbs and 128kbs from servers in Russia, Belgium, USA, Ukraine, France and Holland.
